Is Idi Amin alive? By Moses Namondo I am writing about Idi Amin because i have met people who do not know the fate of this one time dictator. Many of the people i meet still think that this self styled "pure son of Africa" is still alive. Well, the answer is that Idi Amin died on 19/07/2003 in a hospital in Saudi Arabia where he had taken refuge. Any dictator is free to be a life president, prime minister, King or whatever they may decorate themselves. But, the power to be live forever is totally out of their jurisdiction. The lesson for all dictators to learn is to live as human beings because they will die as human beings. Contributor's Note It is unfortunate that today, the world still experiences the hand of dictators.
